Two Assistant Professor positions with tenure in Economics, Université Paris Dauphine – PSL, Paris, France
The Department of Economics of Université Paris Dauphine – PSL invites applications to fill up two permanent tenured position at the Assistant Professor level (Maître de Conférences), starting in September or October 2026.
Applications are invited in all fields of Economics.
Candidates whose research lies in the areas of specialty of our research center may have an advantage. In assessing applications, a strong emphasis is set on the quality and ambition of the research program of the candidate and her ability to submit work to leading field journals or generalist journals.
In terms of teaching, the recruited person is expected to teach both
at Bachelor level, within the Bachelor department in Organizational Sciences (Licence en Sciences des Organisations)
and at the Master level, within the Master department in Organizational Sciences, in priority in the following topics:
Data science
Time series econometrics, macroeconometrics, financial econometrics
Regulation of the health system, medical-economic evaluation
Financial microeconomics, corporate finance, market finance
Macroeconomics of development
The teaching load is 128 hours per year, but we offer a reduced teaching load during the first three years (50% of course exemption the first year and 33% the two subsequent years). Mastering conversational French is an asset. Teaching can be proposed in French or in English, yet the recruited person is expected to be able to teach in French, at least for a part of the teaching load, four years after hiring.
The annual salary is 25,000 - 40,000 Euros after taxes, depending on experience and qualifications.
In view of this recruitment process, the Department of Economics organizes “Days at LEDa” on April 7 & 8, 2026. Candidates to the Assistant Professor positions are strongly encouraged to participate in these “Days at LEDa”.
During this event, the candidate will have the opportunity to present her job market paper (plenary session), as well as to discuss with the members of the Department of Economics more informally during bilateral meetings. The event will be organized on site. Online sessions can be organized for candidates based abroad upon request.

Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. in Economics by December 15th, 2025. Candidates holding a PhD from a French university must hold the "Qualification" at the time of hire.

The LEDa, Laboratoire d'Economie de Dauphine, is a research unit created in 2009. It brings together all the economists of the Université Paris Dauphine-PSL, in collaboration with the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the Institut de la Recherche pour le Développement (IRD).
Research conducted at LEDa covers a wide range of key societal issues, e.g.: health and ageing, development, migrations and trade, macroeconomic policy, the environment and climate, and finance. Applied contributions are complemented by theoretical reflections on microeconomic foundations, the economics of well-being, market structures and interactions, and the issue of risk.
LEDa has 142 members: 63 teaching researchers, 13 IRD and CNRS researchers and 60 doctoral students and an administrative team of 6 people.
