Job Openings in 2024: 1 Full Professor Position in Health Economics
The Department of Economics at the Université Paris-Dauphine - PSL (LEDa) invites applications for a position at the level of Full Professor in Health Economics.
Applications are invited in the fields of health economics, economics of ageing, and the economic analysis of health policy. Applicants must have held a doctorate degree in economics for at least five years and have a well-established record of research and publications in health economics. The quality of the application will notably be assessed by its publications in top health economics journals and/or generalist economic journals, as well as in top journals in medicine, public health, and epidemiology. The ideal candidate is expected to be fully committed to taking a significant role in the main research projects carried out by the LEDa team on ageing and health economics. She or he is also expected to develop synergies across some of the other fields of research covered by LEDa: international economics and development, macroeconomics and finance, energy and climate, and economic theory.
The successful candidate should be committed to a state-of-the-art research program and will be expected to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels 128 hours per year, to supervise doctoral students and to provide senior leadership in the department. Basic knowledge of French is required. Teaching can be proposed in French or in English, yet the recruited person is expected to be able to teach in French within four years, at least for a part of the teaching load.
The position will start on September 1st, 2024 or on a mutually agreed date. The annual gross salary will be €37,500 – € 66,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
The position is open to candidates both inside and outside the French university system. Researchers in a French public institution (“Chargés de recherche”) must hold the "Qualification" at the time of hire. The position is permanent.

Please submit an application letter, a resume mentioning at least three referees, and three representative research papers. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to have their referees submit a recommendation letter and will be invited to visit our department and give a seminar.
The deadline for application is December 21st, 2023. Decisions for interviews will be released to applicants by January 10th, 2024. Selected candidates will be invited for a recruitment seminar between January 22nd and the end of March 2024. The seminar talk will be followed by bilateral meetings with interested members of the department. Seminars will take place on site. Yet, on-line sessions can be organized for foreign candidates upon request. A final decision will be taken in April 2024.
